Hey Alex… the Boulder area will miss you. Good luck at Brown.

Lately, it seems I have been defending people that I have no desire to defend. I believe that most of us are basically good people that have failings that prevent us from being the people we wish we could be. Just because someone is full of themselves or has a bad temper does not mean they are a horrible person or would even think of acting inappropriately around children. That makes about as much sense as condemning a person who gets a speeding ticket as a lawbreaker that might as well have raped someone.

So this is the second Father’s day since my dad died. I’m not sure how I feel about that.

There are nine days until I leave for Las Vegas. I don’t know what to expect while I’m there, but that’s part of the fun, isn’t it? ;)

I’ll be spending the next week organizing my CDs and MP3s in preparation for the lonely 14 hour drive to Nevada…

Remind me to take along a designated sane-person the next time I get drunk at the strip club. Luckily, I only lost my keys.

In other news, due to increasing gas prices I’ve decided against driving my Dad’s conversion van to Las Vegas when I go at the end of this month. I still want to drive, so I’ll take my (more fuel efficient) car instead. ROAD TRIP!

A message for a friend:
Just because people cannot change does not mean they are selfish. People are who they are and not who you wish them to be. The only time people change is when they want to do so and for their own benefit. All you get is resentment if you change your ways just to make others happy.
