A practitioner of gluttony is called a glutton; a practitioner of villainy is caled a villain; so by those criteria, God is an iron.

In the history of man, I believe that someone somewhere has already said all the profound things. Perhaps it was not noticed by the world at large at the time it was uttered, but I am sure that all the profound thoughts have already been verbalized.
Where does that leave us? All we can do is to take notice of these words and rephrase them so that they make sense in the here and now.
That said, it is amazing to think that you can still put words together in a way that has never been previously done; you can say something that has never been said in the history of man.
Take the phrase: “I’ve got tree in my spoon”. I am confident that before June 22, 2003, those words were never put together in exactly that manner. But thanks to a strange sequence of events, Wolfa uttered this phrase on Sunday.
How does one get “tree” in their spoon? In this instance, it was caused by a close encounter with a low branch of a tree whilst searching from relief from the hot sun after obtaining a free sample of “EasyMac” at the 2003 Warped Tour at the new Mile High Stadium (I refuse to call it by its corporate name) in Denver.
Okay, so maybe the phrase “I’ve got tree in my spoon” is not so profound in and of itself. However, what is profound is the fact that those six words arranged in an order never previously spoken nor written can represent an entire sequence of events in two people’s lives.

So after tonight, my baby cousin will no longer be able to check the “single” box when filling out forms and applications. Congratulations Wolfa! I’m sorry I could not be there. (More than 2 days notice would have been nice…)
On this Friday night of an almost full moon, the 13th of June, I dedicate the song “Needle in they Hay” by Elliot Smith to myself (see The Royal Tenenbaums to understand the context with which I reference this song).
I should really try to get some sleep now, as I will need my rest to paint the lower level of my Mother’s house tomorrow. Let’s hear it for spontaneous home improvement summer projects!
