It seems that I have an affinity for verbigeration.

It’s been a while since I posted some of my own lyrics… so here ya go:

Not Here Anymore

I wasn’t too shocked or stunned when everything changed;
I’ve seen it happen before.
We don’t talk anymore.
And it’s only a matter of time before we become strangers.
Will distance make everything better?
Just remember this:
It doesn’t matter where you are, only who you’re with.
And who’ll be the one who remembers?
But don’t let anyone keep you from your dreams.
(Especially me).
Someday you’ll see what I mean.

But I’ll never look back
Knowing you’re not here anymore.
No, I won’t ever look back
’cause you are not here anymore.

You said we needed to do something together.
Understood what you meant.
Chances missed I’ll lament.
The time was ours and I let it pass by–I’ll miss it forever.
Will running away help you through this?
But just let me know
if all of the new roads are as lonely and cold.
Or am I the one who will notice?
When you get to the place where you want to be,
don’t look back for me.
And always say what you mean.

But, don’t ever look back
’cause I won’t be here anymore.
No, don’t ever look back
’cause I won’t be here anymore.

Not
here
anymore.

I’m writing today to let you know that I do care. If I didn’t care, the things that I say that make you mad or frustrated wouldn’t be said. I am a man of truth. A few years ago, I vowed not to be part of the mainstream (the reason they call it a stream, is because it is so shallow), and I will not be fake, or manipulate the truth in order not to hurt other people’s feelings. What I say is what I mean, I’m not an accidental person, and I don’t say such things that are allowed to be retracted. I’m not here to provide padding to the fall; I’m here to prevent the fall.

Life will give us joy & tragedies on it’s own accord, someone may die, or someone may be born. The reality window that we perceive is ours, and ours alone. It is our map that we use to guide us through this unseen world. We don’t ever see the real world. My experiences can never be the same as your experiences exactly. But many can share the consequences. The interesting thing about perception is no matter what, the same syntax still applies for everyone. Consequences still exist, the language structure is intact and everyone around you understands you, and you understand them. The intuition of language and how it works exists with everyone in relevance to their native tongue. This intuition applies in many other areas of life, and one should take advantage of it as they take advantage of any opportunities that could come there way that potentially contains a positive outlook. Intuition is opportunity; it’s your system guiding you when you don’t have a ground to stand on. Through the years, intuition will teach you, that your experience doesn’t have to be physically yours. Through observing others, you can apply their experience to your map of the world. This is a fantastic way to learn, as this again goes back to the common syntax that applies to humans in general. This technique has been known to save lives at the very best, and teach a valuable lesson at it’s worst.

Through the short years I’ve lived so far, I have been able to quickly grasp that humans can easily become their own worst enemy. It’s more common than not, that humans refuse to consistently take responsibility for their own actions. A great example of this is a consequence that occurs because of an action. When do we decide to take responsibility? Only when noticed. If we took true responsibility for this beforehand, I think that the events that would require us to own up to the responsibility would occur less. Then we could look at this logically and state, “If we don’t like to take responsibility for our actions, and we don’t like consequences, why do we continue to do these things?” I would try to live by, “if you can take responsibility, then you know what you’re doing, and if you’re not ready, then why do it?” Are our minds not our own? Did the “Devil” make us do it? Did we “not mean to say that”? Then what did we mean to say? What about actions? They require procedural steps. Speech can be easily sliding out of the mouth at a very high speed, and before you know it, you’ve blundered. But with actions a decision to do something must be made. Then at any point, you can stop yourself (unless you’ve already jumped off the cliff and are in mid-fall).

Then we have emotions. Hmm, wonderful concept, but a bit dizzying. What is the need for emotion? Well if we didn’t consider our emotions, I think we would be more in line with computers, where it’s a matter of computation, and strict logic. A rather dull life I would say. I like computers, but I doubt I could fathom being one. The question of our instincts working properly without an emotional drive would be probably obscured as well. I can’t imagine how we would act without the emotions defining some of our instinctual behaviors, like attraction, and flirting and such. Be rather easy I guess. “Hi, I’m attracted to you, let’s procreate”. Doubt it would even be that. Very weird notion.

While there is no way not to suffer, there are ways to escape and there are ways to transcend. For me, music accomplishes both.
